About the Society
The Emirates Blood Donation Society was established pursuant to Ministerial Decision No. 231 of 2023, in alignment with the strategic directions of the United Arab Emirates and the objectives of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in the healthcare sector. The Society embodies a national vision that strengthens the role of the third sector in supporting the healthcare system and fostering a culture of giving and volunteering.

Year-Round
The “Bil Dimaa Narwik Ya Watan” initiative was launched during the COVID-19 pandemic in response to the need to maintain blood donation efforts and support the blood supply under the exceptional circumstances faced by the UAE and the world.
The initiative’s name was inspired by the phrase “Bil Dimaa Narwik Ya Watan” from the national anthem of the United Arab Emirates, expressing a deep sense of national belonging and linking blood donation with national and humanitarian responsibility toward the community.
